The city is tipped to get heavy rain between Sunday and Monday under the influence of a low-pressure system over Northeastern Bay of Bengal, the Met office has said.

The first half of Sunday is likely to be hot and humid. The sky is set to change colours from the second half.

The rain is expected to be accompanied by gusts of wind clocking 30kmph and above as the system crosses over or is close to Calcutta, said a Met official.
