The number of containment zones in Calcutta went down from 28 to 24 on Wednesday, according to an updated list.
Some of the places removed from the list are Dr GS Bose Road in Kasba, Purbalok in Mukundapur, Adhar Chandra Das Lane in Ultadanga, CIT Scheme VII M in Kankurgachhi Khotta Bagan, Jaharlal Dutta Lane in Dutta Bagan and Haripal Lane in Battala.

If no fresh case has been reported in the past 14 days, a place can be removed from the stricter lockdown list.
The additions to the list are a housing complex on Justice Chandra Madhab Road in Alipore, a stretch of Paharpur Road in Garden Reach, Raja Santosh Road in Alipore and a stretch of Dover Lane in Gariahat.
