Twins back

Ranaghat, May 24: The sub-divisional officer of Ranaghat today handed over the two Nadia twins to their father after he approached him for their custody.

Suparna Kanti Roy Chowdhury, the SDO, said: “I was satisfied after talking to the father. He said he would take care of his twin daughters.”

The five-year-old girls were put in the “safe custody” of a neighbour after their mother left them alone at home and went to Ranchi for two days. The mother’s plea for custody was not considered for “lack of responsibility”.
