It’s that time of the year again when we get to rewind and find out the songs we liked most over the past 12 months. Apple Music has released its Replay ’25 experience, allowing listeners to gain insight into their personal journey through the year in music. It also helps fans understand how their musical tastes have evolved — or remained the same — over the course of the year.

The music streaming service has also unveiled its 2025 Year-End Charts, highlighting how Rosé and Bruno Mars’ APT. dominated 2025. The hit track topped multiple categories, including the most-streamed song on Apple Music globally, the most-identified track on Shazam this year, the most-spun song on radio worldwide, and the most-read lyrics.

Replay ’25 walks listeners through every chapter of their musical journey, and there are more highlights this year than ever before. With Discovery, users can find out which new artistes captured their attention over the past year. Loyalty showcases the artistes they kept coming back to, year after year. Then there is Comebacks, spotlighting artistes who made a return to their regular rotation.

In addition to these features, users can also see their total minutes listened, total artistes listened to, longest artiste streak and favourite genres. The results are natively available within the Apple Music app.

Replay ’25 also introduces new celebratory features for artistes, offering musicians and their teams shareable insights into their global impact. New metrics include listenership growth and year-on-year performance summaries, going beyond existing data points such as total listeners, countries, cities and minutes listened; top-streamed songs and top-identified tracks on Shazam; total radio spins; chart rankings; and playlist inclusions.

There’s more for listeners as well. Apple Music users can explore their monthly Replay highlights in addition to yearly summaries, all year round, since joining the service.

Listeners can also stream any of their yearly playlists or go all the way back with the Replay All Time playlist — a special version of the annual Replay experience that lets users revisit the songs they have played the most since day one.

Year-end charts

In a year that featured high-profile releases from Bad Bunny, Taylor Swift, Morgan Wallen and Drake, no song defined 2025 more than Rosé and Bruno Mars’ hit APT. The track claims the number one spot on Top Songs of 2025: Global, as well as leading the Top 100: Shazam, Top 100: Global Radio and Top 100: Lyrics charts.

Gracie Abrams and Alex Warren both make their first appearances on the year-end charts, with their respective Top 10 hits That’s So True (#6) and Ordinary (#7). Morgan Wallen leads all artistes with 12 songs in the Top 100, headed by I’m The Problem (#18). Apple Music’s 2025 Artiste of the Year, Tyler, The Creator, lands his first year-end hit with Sticky (featuring Sexyy Red, GloRilla and Lil Wayne), which finishes at #42.

Dynamic duo

Top Dawg Entertainment label-mates Kendrick Lamar and SZA have been as busy as ever over the past 12 months — and their hard work has paid off. On the Top Songs of 2025: Global chart, Kendrick ends the year with five songs in the Top 25, more than any other artiste, while SZA follows closely with three entries. Some of the duo’s biggest successes came from their collaborations, with Luther (#2) and 30 For 30 (#10) both reaching the upper echelons of the chart.

Lola Young shines bright

Following her star-making collaboration with Tyler, The Creator on Like Him, Lola Young enjoyed a breakout year in 2025 as Messy caught fire around the world. The track finishes at #2 on the Top 100: Shazam chart, #3 on the Top 100: Global Radio chart and #27 on Top Songs of 2025: Global. On the UK charts, Lola ends the year as the highest-ranking UK artiste, placing fourth overall.

This year’s Shazam chart also features several viral hits, including MOLIY’s Afropop anthem Shake It To The Max (Fly) [Remix], which closes the year at #5.

K-pop moment

The K-pop Demon Hunters hit Golden finishes the year at #15 on the Top Songs of 2025: Global chart — an impressive feat in itself. However, its rise to #4 on both the Top 100: Lyrics and Top 100: Sing charts truly underscores the song’s cultural impact in 2025. Featuring an all-star lineup of songwriters and producers, including EJAE, Mark Sonnenblick and Teddy, the track spent 70 consecutive days at number one on the Daily Top 100 — the most total days any song held the top spot this year — before being dethroned by Taylor Swift’s The Fate of Ophelia.
