Actress Ananya Panday is all set to spend a few hours with her fans and give them a sneak peek into her glam routine with ‘The Style Edit’, India’s first Airbnb Original Experience. Ananya’s dream closet and vanity will be recreated in an Airbnb home in Delhi. She will spend four hours with the lucky guests, who will be treated to a personalised styling session with celebrity fashion stylist Ami Patel, a professional make-up session with Riddhima Sharma Khubchandani, and a hair makeover with Aanchal Morwani. The icing on the cake is a photoshoot with Ananya, shot by Rahul Jhangiani. The experience will wrap up with candid conversations with the Call Me Bae actress. Bookings for the experience open on August 21 at 11am @airbnb.com/ananya, and the guests will be selected on a first-come, first-served basis.
Ananya spoke to t2 about what got her excited about the project, what she was expecting, and her travel bucket list.
This is a great idea to reach out to your fans, an experience which gives them a closer peek into your life. What did you like about it?
What I loved most about curating the first-ever Airbnb Original Experience in India is how personal and interactive it feels. Fashion has always been a powerful form of self-expression for me — whether it’s experimenting with bold styles, creating looks that feel uniquely mine, or simply wearing something that makes me feel confident. This experience is my way of opening that world up for my fans. It’s not about watching from the sidelines — it’s authentic, immersive, and gives guests a chance to step right into my space. They’ll also get a glimpse of the real, behind-the-scenes chaos when I’m glamming up for shoots and red carpets.
Tell us how you curated the team and what do you enjoy about working with them…
I’ve always believed the right team is like the perfect outfit, every piece has its place, and together, they make magic. My style squad is my ride or die, they inspire me every day and their energy makes me want to try new things. Ami Patel, my stylist, knows how to turn statement looks into comfortable, wearable outfits, my glam hair and make-up squad Aanchal Morwani and Riddhima Sharma Khubchandani can nail everything from full-blown curls to blush blindness, and ace photographer Rahul Jhangiani who always captures the mood and not just the pose, will shoot me and the guests over an exciting photoshoot once they’re all glammed up. With my team, we have our little rituals, our ‘try this!’ moments, and a lot of laughter — it’s chaos, but the best kind and the guests will get to experience all of it through this Airbnb Experience.
What are you expecting from this initiative?
I’m excited to connect with people in such a real and personal way. With Airbnb Experiences, it’s not about sitting back and watching — it’s about stepping in, trying things for yourself, and making memories you can’t get anywhere else. For me, fashion is so much more fun when it’s shared, and I can’t wait to see guests bring their own personality into it.
Do you often Airbnb?
I usually travel for work, so once in a while when I get the opportunity, I prefer it because it feels comfortable, peaceful, and like home.
What’s been your favourite Airbnb experience?
Airbnb has just relaunched Experiences worldwide, and after being a host myself, I’m looking forward to being a guest on my next trip. I haven’t had the chance to try one yet, but I can already picture myself trying my hand at a pasta-making class in Italy or exploring Tokyo on a street photography walk. What I love most about Airbnb Experiences is how effortlessly they make you feel like a local, giving you the chance to see a place through the stories, skills, and perspectives of the people who know it best.
What’s on your Airbnb travel roster?
A dreamy beach villa in Bali.
What are the joys of travelling for you?
For me, the joy of travelling is in the mix of little and big moments. It’s discovering places I’ve only seen in pictures, meeting people with stories completely different from mine, and tasting food that instantly becomes a new favourite. I love how travel pushes me out of my comfort zone but also makes me feel more connected to the world, to other people, and even to myself. Whether it’s a quick getaway or a faraway adventure, I come back feeling inspired, refreshed, and full of memories I’ll never forget.
What places have you been to this year?
This year’s been a perfect mix of high-energy cities and slow, indulgent escapes, across India and around the world. From taking in the timeless beauty of the Taj Mahal in Agra to sun-drenched afternoons with friends in Mykonos or the stunning Lake Como, every trip has left its mark. I’m constantly chasing experiences that feed my soul, and you never know when you’ll find a street style moment so good, it feels like a masterclass unfolding right in front of you.
Your travel essentials are…
Whether I’m heading out for a shoot or sneaking away for a quick holiday, I always aim for that sweet spot between comfort and style. My travel wardrobe is built around mix-and-match pieces. Think a pair of perfectly-fitted denims, relaxed oversized shirts, statement accessories, and a blazer that transitions effortlessly from casual brunches to evening plans. On actual travel days, I keep it easy: soft sweatpants, worn-in sneakers, and a cosy, extra layer for long flights, settling into a warm Airbnb, or exploring a new city at my own pace.
For beauty, I like to keep things simple and radiant. A dewy skin tint, a swipe of mascara, and my favourite lip-and-cheek tint are my go-to for a quick glow. My carry-on is never without a hydrating mist, SPF, and under-eye patches to fight early call-time fatigue. And dry shampoo? It’s my ultimate trick for looking ready in no time.
What’s on the bucket list this year that’s still not done?
Travelling as much as I can with my family will always be on my bucket list. I’m already planning my next holiday — maybe a dreamy beachside Airbnb villa or a cosy mountain retreat where we can go apple-picking, explore the countryside, and swap stories late into the night at our Airbnb.
