25 years of B-school meet

The largest business school summit in Asia, with over 20,000 participants from all over the world, is back.

Stepping into its 25th year, IIM Calcutta presents Intaglio 2013 powered by The Telegraph, the three-day business summit starting on Friday will host the likes of Sourav Ganguly and former RBI governor Bimal Jalan to engage in a talk with students.

To commemorate the silver jubilee of the annual international B-school summit, there will be 25 events in all.

Keeping in mind the uncertain global economic environment, the theme this year is “Celebrating Leadership… Inspiring a silver lining” and will see participants vie for prizes worth Rs 2 million.

Olympus, the flagship event, will test students’ leadership skills, while Marketrix would tap into their online marketing know-how. There is also Chanakya, which gives one the opportunity to play policy-maker and pitch ideas.

But it’s not just about exercising one’s grey cells. Students also get to chase treasures across the 135-acre campus at Joka and play around with words at the Joka-Wit League.

“Intaglio has become a global platform for young thinkers. This year, we have thrown open the doors to top undergraduate schools around the world. We have finalists from the Kellogg School of Management (Northwestern University), SP Jain School of Global Management (Dubai) and Berklee College of Music, amongst others,” said Soumyakanti Ray, the coordinator for Intaglio 2013.

Intaglio 2013 will end on Sunday with a performance by Delhi-based band Parikrama.
