Ranchi, Dec. 24: Chief minister Arjun Munda today granted administrative sanctions for the construction of various bridges, roads and culverts across the state and also gave his nod for commencing actions against certain government officials for their acts of omission and commission.
Officials said the Tisri-Thanasinghtoli-Kowakol Road in Giridih and the Singhpokharia-Jaitgarh Road in West Singhbhum would be the major benefactors of the government’s decision and will see major revamp in the coming days.
Sources said, the Tisri-Thanasinghtoli-Kowakol stretch will get new approach roads and good quality bridges at a cost of almost Rs 7.59 crore. The state will spend close to Rs 9.5 crore on the Singhpokharia-Jaitgarh stretch to come up with approach road and bridges.
Munda also cleared the decks for action against Khunti road construction division assistant engineer Ram Bachan Sharma and Palamau housing corporation executive engineer in-charge Gaurishankar Prasad Singh. A second showcause notice was also slapped against suspended executive engineer S. Chaurasia.
