Having registered back-to-back wins, beating Bengaluru FC and Lajong FC, East Bengal will be looking for a hat-trick of victories to keep their winning momentum going as they face Salgaocar FC in a Round V match of the I-League, here, at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, in Margao, on Saturday.

Placed third in the table with seven points from three matches, East Bengal certainly are a confident lot going into this tough game. But they do have an uphill task, more so, as East Bengal on most occasions have failed to return victorious from Goa.

Salgaocar, for their part, haven’t been outstanding at all, but their record against East Bengal in Goa is something that seems to be giving them an edge over Armando Colaco’s side.

Besides, East Bengal will also be missing Arnab Mondal and Mehtab Hussain as both of them are out with injuries.
“Playing away from home, especially against a team like Salgaocar, is always difficult.

“But we are prepared and the results of our last two matches give us ample confidence,” captain Harmanjyot Singh Khabra said.
