CAB awards
Calcutta: Shaktipada Bhattacharya has been adjudged the CAB’s best umpire in Grade I (BCCI). The others who will get awards are Sanjeev Pandey in Grade I, Tushar Kanti Ghosh in Grade II, Abhishek Halder in Grade III and Kaustav Das as the most promising umpire.
Demise
Calcutta: Gour Ghosh, who played for Bengal and Bihar in Ranji Trophy, passed away on Saturday morning. He was 77. Ghosh was also a junior selection committee member at the CAB from 2005 to 2007.
