The godfather of ground-and-pound, Mark Coleman, delivers his positive views upon the development of MMA. Mark Coleman is armed with a silver medal in the world championship, and he has also qualified for the Olympics in 1992.

In the very beginning itself, Mark Coleman says “Everybody has realised the importance of knowing how to wrestle” meaning that people have become aware of the importance or advantages involved in wrestling to a greater extent.

He believes that wrestling is a very likeable sport, he says “I know a lot of people get sick of seeing so much wrestling, but back then I said just give it some time because as soon as everybody realises they have to learn how to wrestle, the score will change.

Mark Coleman suggests to UFC betting site Betway that people who are inclined towards martial arts join the UFC company and master the skill by learning it thoroughly. He wants them to put in immense practice and own the sport but learn the rules and regulations of it.

“It’s full-time now,” Mark Coleman says. “They get paid enough money that all they have to do is train, and they’ve got three or four coaches. He shares the financial advantages that come with taking up MMA and practising it passionately.

"I love the opportunities fighters are getting. I am a big fan of bare-knuckle boxing. I love it, and I think it will continue to climb." he said. He seemed like standing against all the hate that was prevailing all around MMA. He seemed strong like a mountain of knowledge. He was taking the stand for MMA by encouraging people to join the sport.

He strongly supposes that sportsmen involved in martial arts are full of themselves and they can sustain it all. In his words he says, 'the guys are really amazing on their feet.'. He says they have the capacity to grow in all conditions.

Mark Coleman says “It is incredible to see how advanced the stand-up game is now. These guys are really, really amazing on their feet.” showing his surprise and happiness for the sport which has evolved a lot. He appreciates the current players who are being right on their feet.

Saying 'to be the best boxers they can be.' Mark Coleman expresses his belief that people who will master the sport and win matches, become popular getting fame to themselves.

Though martial arts had negativity in the past few decades, it has become one of the most growing arts around. It is considered an art of fighting and is perceived as just any other sport.

Mark Coleman recalls the pay they had and compares it with today’s pay, he feels that it is pretty good now. He says “Compared to what we got back when I was fighting. They're getting paid pretty good.”

It has been eleven years since Mark Coleman has been retired but still, Mark Coleman portrays the same love, passion and inclinations towards the sport.
