Ahmedabad and Lucknow are the front-runners in the race for the two new Indian Premier League (IPL) franchises, according to a report published on ndtv.com. It has also been widely reported that Manchester United owners, the Glazers, have picked up bidding papers.

The bidding process for the two new teams will reportedly take place on October 25.
