Elaborate arrangements were made to welcome Rahane once he drove straight to his Matunga residence from the airport



Ajinkya Rahane, who  led India to a 2-1 win in the Test series in  Australia, being welcomed by his family members and  residents at his housing  society in Mumbai on  Thursday.  Also present to greet him was his wife Radhika and their 15-month-old daughter Aarya, who clung on to her father as the victorious skipper made the red carpet walk. Elaborate arrangements were made to accord Rahane, known as Jinks, a royal  welcome once he drove straight to his Matunga residence from the airport. Besides the beats of the traditional dhol and tasha, flower petals were showered on the cricketer.

T. Natarajan, during a celebration at his native Chinnappampatti village in Tamil Nadu’s Salem district on Thursday. The fast bowler landed in Bangalore and then drove to his native village. He was accorded a festive welcome, complete with garlands and a chariot ride  through the streets where people gathered in good  numbers to acknowledge the new star.

The all-rounder arrived in Mumbai from Dubai  along with head coach  Ravi Shastri, captain Ajinkya Rahane, Rohit Sharma and Prithvi Shaw. They were felicitated at the airport by the Mumbai Cricket Association.
