Calcutta: India remained sixth while Pakistan dropped a place to fourth after their heavy innings defeat against New Zealand, in the latest Test rankings released by the ICC.

The win meant that New Zealand has gained one rankings point and now lie two points adrift of sixth placed India, who have 96 points.

Bidyut show

Calcutta: Bidyut Adhikari hit 198 as East Bengal put up 422 for five in reply to Shambazar Club’s 293 for eight on the second day of the AN Ghosh Trophy, at the Eden.

In another match, Eastern Railway were reduced to 36 for five at stumps vs Vision 2020.

Calcutta: Delhi under-19 piled on 581 in the first innings of the Cooch Behar Trophy match against their Bengal counterparts, here, at the JU Salt Lake campus ground. After Rajesh Sharma finished at 163, Jonty Sidhu came up with 137 runs.

Calcutta: South Point High School (B) thrashed St Lawrence High School (B) by nine wickets in category A of the Inter-school Invitational Cricket tournament, on Sunday. Batting first, St Lawrence were restricted to 83/8 in 20 overs. South Point reached home in just seven overs. In category B, La Martiniere for Boys defeated BDM International by 8 wickets.
