Calcutta: La Martiniere, St Xavier’s, DPS Megacity and St Thomas’ Kidderpore moved into the quarter finals of the Debanjan Cup inter-school football meet, organised by the Debanjan Sen Foundation.

In the pre-quarters, La Martiniere outplayed Patha Bhavan 4-0 with goals from Nathan Simone (2), Joshua Joseph and Varun Anklesaria.

St Xavier’s beat DPS Megacity by an identical margin with goals from Romario Topno, Vignesh Paul, Safil Akbar and Mohsin Ali.

St Thomas’ Kidderpore defeated St Thomas Day, Free School Street 4-3 via tie-breaker after the regulation time ended 2-2.

DPS Megacity blanked Frank Anthony 5-0. Biswaroop Paul scored a hat-trick while Kunal Kumar and Irfan Khan were the other scorers.
