Cuttack, June 20: The results of this year’s high school certificate (HSC) examinations would be declared on June 25, officials of the Board of Secondary Education (BSE), Orissa, said today.
The board has undertaken elaborate measures for the publication of matriculation results, which will be published at 9.30am on Saturday.
To check the results, students can log on to the following websites: www.bseorissa.in, www.orissaresults.nic.in, www.indiaresults.com, www.exametc.com and www.schools9.com.
Beside this, students can also get their results on their mobile phones through SMS. To avail this service, regular students will have to type OBSE (space) <Roll No> and will have to send the SMS to 5733 or 56505 (regular). Ex-regular students will have to type XOBSE (space) <Roll No> and send the SMS to 5733 or to 56505.
Similarly, students can also get to know their results from the booklets which will be available at 33 centres across the state.
“Adequate measures are being taken for publication of results on June 25.
“The students can get to know their results from websites, through SMS and booklets,” said BSE president Satyakam Mishra.
Dismissing allegations of delay in publication of results, the board president said matriculation results were usually published by the end of June every year.
“A lot of other works, including printing of original mark sheet-cum-certificates with the photograph of the students, have already been completed.
‘This would be provided to the students by their school authorities on June 30,” said a board official.
“Since original mark sheet-cum-certificates would be given to the students for the first time this year, we have instructed all schools to check the certificates before they issue those to the students, so that all mistakes can be rectified in time,” Mishra said.
Earlier, the students used to receive the original certificates almost a year after the publication of the results. The board will also take out a list of 100 top students.
This year, a total of 4,85, 586 students, including 4, 20,687 regular, 48,498 ex-regular, 14,212 regular correspondence and 2,189 ex-regular correspondence course students had appeared for the matriculation exam, which began on March 16.
Around 18,120 examiners were appointed for the evaluation of the answer sheets and a three-tier evaluation process was introduced for the first time to minimise wrong evaluations this year.
