Guwahati: The Future Group is offering over 500 brands at its first "high-definition" store here, named Guwahati Central, which was inaugurated by Assam chief minister Sarbananda Sonowal at Zoo Road here on Sunday.

Guwahati Central, set up at a cost of around Rs 350 crore, is the latest offering from the Future Group in the city after Big Bazaar, Brand Factory and FBB stores.

The sprawling one lakh square feet, four-storeyed fashion destination, is supposedly the biggest standalone retail store in the region and promises world class services and a bouquet of high fashion brands for style-savvy customers.

A bevy of features like valet parking, in-house fashion stylists, shopping-by-appointment service, reserved shopping, Whatsapp shopping, Lux or sit-down billing and complimentary Wi-Fi in the presence of fashion attendants will provide a never before shopping experience to its customers from the time they enter the store till the billing at the cash counters, a Future Group official said.

Future Group CEO Kishore Biyani said, "The Northeast has always been special for us at the Future Group. We are delighted with the warmth and love of the people here. The understanding of fashion among the region's people is one of the best in the country. The launch of Central in Guwahati is a proud moment for us. We have always believed in staying ahead of the curve and understanding the need of our ever evolving customers. Guwahati Central defines the best of both the worlds in terms of fashion, choice, culture and sensitivity."
