People pay tribute to Kalaguru Bishnu Prasad Rabha on his 46th death anniversary in Tezpur on Saturday, with a daylong programme.

Floral tributes were offered at the Samannay Khetra by the Tezpur unit of AASU. Hemraj Rabha, son of Bishnu Prasad Rabha, was also present on the occasion.

Tezpur Sahitya Sabha vice-president Hemanta Kumar Baruah spoke on the importance of the day and said Rabha could have acquired immense political clout in the corridors of power after the country became independent, if he had wished to do so.
