Imphal, Feb. 11: Rahul Pamei entered the final of the U-12 category of the 11th THAU Tennis Championship played at deco turf tennis court in Thangmeiband.

In the semi-final match, Pamei got the better of S. Gaurav 6-2 and 6-1.

In the men's singles quarter-final, Leelenjee Singh beat Herojit Singh 6-2, 6-1 to move into the semi-final while Ribaskar Singh beat Thoihenba Singh 6-2, 6-1.

Azad Khan also entered the semi-final beating T. Pamei by 3-6 and 6-3 (11-9) points.

In the team event, St Anthony Challengers beat Imphal Warrior 6-3, 4-6, 7-6 (7-5) while ATL Riders beat LB Aces 6-1, 1-6, 6-4.

Veteran cricket: Imphal West Veteran Cricket Club won by 48 runs against NAPSA Kha, Imphal, in the third T20 Manipur Veteran Cricket Tournament at Langthabal public cricket ground.

Imphal West posted 178 for six with Kh. Bimol topscoring with a run-a-all 46 while L. Azad and K. Laiba chipped in with 31 and 29 runs respectively. NAPSA bowler Bhogen Singh and Keshojit picked up two wickets each. In reply, NAPSA finished on 130 for six in their stipulated 20 overs, with Somorendro Singh hitting 63 runs from 56 balls. Imphal West bowler K. Sanat Sharma picked up two wickets. Imphal West's L. Azad was adjudged Man of the Match.

Football: TFA Thinungei beat TBSFA (B) 2-1 in the 11th TBSFA U-16 football tournament played at Tabungkhok in Imphal West. Nepolian and Bipindra scored for TFA while Smart scored the lone goal for TBSFA. In the under-13 category, IMA Iram Siphai held TBSFA (A) to a goalless draw.

Elite League: Manipur Cricket Association will organise the MCA Elite League Tournament at Luwangpokpa cricket stadium. Eight teams - TRAU, CRAU, Model Club, YWC Langthabal, Cyclone, Blue Hawk, Champ and Reyoungsters - will take part.
