Guwahati, Jan. 25: Oil India Limited (OIL) bagged the veterans? cricket tournament title defeating Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) by a huge margin of seven wickets at Latasil Ground in Guwahati today.
OIL?s Partha Sarathi Hazarika was declared man of the tournament.
ONGC elected to bat and posted 122 for nine in 23.4 overs. Chasing the target, OIL reached 126 for three wickets in 19.1 overs.
U-15 cricket: Hosts Dibrugarh and Tez-pur entered the quarters and pre-quarters respectively of the Amarjit Sarma Trophy cricket meet.
India Club tennis: Rupjyoti Basuma-tary caused an upset today, beating top seed Tutu Thapa 8-6 to enter the boys? under-18 singles semifinal. Subhan Patra and Ritriz Duarah entered the final in the boys? under-10 event. Shivani Dutta made the girls? singles under-18 final defeating Anangsha Alomyan 6-2, 6-1 in the semifinal.
