Aug. 16: CID sleuths arrested four persons, Samir Rai Chowdhury, 28, Dipak Rajkhowa, 31, Qutubuddin Ahmed, 25, and Bhaskar Jyoti Kalita, 24, from Sundarpur on Monday for allegedly collecting money from people in the guise of real estate developers by making false promises of high returns. The four have been remanded in seven days’ CID custody after being produced in court on Monday.
