Guwahati, Oct. 18: As part of its golden jubilee celebrations, the Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan today launched the 11th of its 14 travelling photo exhibitions at Srimanta Sankaradeva Kalakshetra, Panjabari, here. The travelling photo exhibition was inaugurated by Dinesh Kumar, additional commissioner of KVS headquarters. Dhubri: Mokser Ali, 50, of Kuntirchar under Dhubri police station of Dhubri district, was apprehended by the 48 Bn. CRPF on Friday with a bomb weighing 3kg. He was handed over to Dhubri police station, a police source said. Dhubri: Assam state BJP president Sarbananda Sonowal will arrive here on Saturday to address party workers of 10 Assembly constituencies under the Dhubri parliamentary constituency at Dhubri District Library auditorium. Dhubri: A Bangladeshi national, identified as Sofiqul Islam, was apprehended at the Kedar Adda border in Dhubri district by the BSF, with fake currency valued at Rs 46,000 on Thursday. He confessed to having brought the fake currency to buy cough syrup from two persons in the district. Guwahati: Restrictions have been imposed on the movement of long-distance and rural buses on DG Road, MG Road, AT Road, AK Azad Road, AK Deb Road and GNB Road here on October 22 in view of President Pranab Mukherjee’s visit to the city and Shillong.
