Guwahati, May 10: The Krishak Mukti Sangram Samiti today welcomed the Supreme Court’s order for the CBI enquiry into Saradha scam. The peasants’ body had earlier demanded a CBI probe into the scam. Dhubri: Hundreds of people staged a sit-in in front of South Salmara police station in Dhubri district on Saturday to protest against lynching of two persons by villagers of Patakata on May 5. The protesters alleged that the duo had come to the village to collect money from a person but they were lynched by a mob. Kokrajhar: Chirang district administration has done all necessary arrangements for peaceful counting of votes on May 16.
