Silchar, April 4: Assam University will soon have its 500-bed central medical college.

Vice-chancellor Tapodhir Bhattacharjee met Silchar Medical College and Hospital doctors today to inform that the central medical college was one among the four colleges, which the Centre has decided to open in four universities across the country.

He said a separate report would be sent on the project along with the 12th plan of the university by April 15.
