Tezpur, Dec. 2: Prabin Kalita of Milanpur Bamunchuburi died on the spot when the three-wheeler he was riding collided with an Arun-achal Pradesh-bound Scorpio at Sonabil on NH15 under Salonibari police outpost in Sonitpur district today.

Body found

Kokrajhar: The body of Bipin Das, 60, a labourer, was recovered from the switch-gate at Tarabari village under Simla police station in Baksa district. Sources said Das was missing since Tuesday evening. The body has been sent for post-mortem.

Theft

Guwahati: Police arrested Abdul Ali, a resident of Jhagrapara village in lower Assam's Dhubri district, here at Bharalumukh on charges of theft on Wednesday. A laptop, seven mobile phones and other stolen items have been recovered from him.
