The Assam Amateur Boxing Association felicitated ace boxer Shiva Thapa who returned home after claiming a bronze medal in the Doha World Boxing Championship. He is the third Indian after Vijender Singh (2009) and Vikas Krishan Yadav (2011) to fetch a World Championship medal. Director of sports Anjan Sarma, Boxing India executive president Jadab Deka, the boxing association's president Kali Kanta Boro and secretary Hemanta Kumar Kalita were present. 'I will now focus on the (Olympics) qualifying tournaments in the next few months,' Shiva said at the Tarun Ram Phookan Indoor Stadium in Guwahati on Sunday.
