After Game of Thrones took its final bow in 2018, the world needed a fantasy drama, one as remarkable as GOT, to take its place. And The Witcher did exactly that!
The second outing of The Witcher finds the titular Witcher, Geralt of Rivia (Henry Cavill), united with orphaned princess Ciri (Freya Allan). The three-minute long trailer shows us familiar faces and new ones, sometimes taking us back to what happened in season one to set season two in context and the ride is exhilarating.
The Witcher and Ciri embark on a journey through the Continent as he tries to fulfill his vow of protecting her. He takes her to Kaer Morhen, Geralt’s home, where we find the man we met and loved in The Witcher: Nightmare of the Wolf – Vesemir. The second season promises to be bloodier than the first with the deadliest wars packed with vicious killings, vibrant villages burnt to ashes and incredible hand-to-hand combat. Following a single timeline instead of multiple timelines, this season will see flashbacks and flash-forwards coupled with a smoother plotline..
