The second live-action Star Wars series, The Book of Boba Fett, just dropped last week. It follows the fan favourite bounty hunter Boba Fett who made his mark with 1980’s The Empire Strikes Back (although his first appearance was in the 1978 Star Wars Holiday Special). The armoured bounty hunter seemingly met his end in Return of the Jedi, when he fell into the sarlacc pit. But it was revealed in The Mandalorian season 2 that Boba did not die. After helping Din Djarin rescue Grogu from Moff Gideon and the Empire, he stakes his claim over Jabba’s criminal empire in Tattooine along with mercenary Fennec Shand.
The show created by Jon Favreau is set across two timelines which makes the show so intriguing. Temuera Morrison stars as Boba Fett and Mulan star Ming-Na Wen stars as Fennec Shand. The seven-episode spin-off looks promising and is keeping fans guessing about Boba’s fate.
