The streaming giant is back with another seemingly great pick for its movie arsenal. The trailer of its latest, Don't Look Up, a satirical comedy by Academy Award-winner Adam McKay, deals with the done-to-death topic of an apocalypse in an absolutely not-so-usual way.
The story revolves around an astronomy professor (Leonardo DiCaprio) and his student (Jennifer Lawrence) trying to warn everyone of an approaching comet that could potentially destroy Earth. A wild ride begins for the two when no one seems to take them seriously while they attempt to get the news out. They endure condescension from the President (Meryl Streep) and her staff, laughter from the media, and uncomprehending interest on social media. The trailer promises an interesting watch with sharp writing complemented by the comic timing of a stellar cast that includes Jonah Hill, Cate Blanchett, Timothée Chalamet and Ariana Grande.
We can't wait for this comet of a film to strike Netflix on December 24.
