Styling bangs this summer doesn’t have to be a chore if you’re following the right icons. To beat the summer heat, Billie Eilish and Bella Hadid are steering towards jagged, asymmetrical bangs, preferably in a shorter length. It’s more wearable than a zig-zag or micro bangs because, in spite of being wispy and somewhat spiky, they can be swept to the side. If you don’t want a super short do like Alexa Demie, you can always go for Billie’s dark, longer fringe.

The idea is to channel Winona Ryder’s grungy, spiky bangs from the 1988 film Beetlejuice. We recommend a styling gel or maybe a hair cream with medium hold, that doesn’t wear down your bangs.
