Two years after opening its first outlet on Allenby Road, Salon 82 has expanded its services with a second outlet in Salt Lake, called Salon 82 Cafe. In sync with the popular trend in the city of combining cafe and beauty services, the new outlet is a salon-cum-cafe. Spread across 3,000sq ft and two floors, the ground floor has both the salon and cafe sections with an al fresco seating area and the first floor offers various head-to-toe beauty services. Done up in shades of white, black and grey with large glass windows, the place has a soothing and classy touch to its interiors.
“Salon 82 comes with a refined style of offering a unique experience of having a cup of coffee while indulging in self-care, all under one roof. Sipping a hot cup of freshly brewed coffee after a long hectic day and pampering yourself to breathe, relax and unwind to get rid of the monotony is a combination that all would love. That was our idea behind opening this place,” said Shashank Upadhyay, director, Salon 82.

Actress Raima Sen dropped by on the inauguration day (October 7), looking beautiful in a black-and-white gown. “It is very pretty and the view is absolutely fabulous. A parlour-cum-cafe like this in Calcutta is really amazing,” said Raima, whose strict hair-care routine involves oiling her hair. “Well, a lovely manicure, pedicure or facial is definitely relaxing for me after a hectic day. I eat everything because I am a foodie and I love food but I do drink a lot of water. I think, a good amount of sleep and drinking lots of water is the secret to healthy and good skin,” said the actress while posing in the nail section at the salon that offers services like nail treatment and nail extension.
The salon’s ground floor has the hair station (in picture), done up with red brick textured walls and comfortable seaters offering services like haircuts, styling and hair colour. The first floor houses the nail station alongside offering pamper services like manicure, pedicure and facials.
