Members of a private security agency will be performing aviation security duty in non-core areas and will replace the CISF duty personnel who are presently manning the non-core duty posts at Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose International (NSCBI) Airport.
Before getting posted at the city airport, the members of the private security agency were given five days Bureau of Civil Aviation Security (BCAS) AVSEC induction training which started from September 5 and concluded on Friday.
This is the basic mandatory training for private security agency which was conducted as per the guidelines of Bureau of Civil Aviation Security.
The completion of this basic training programme made the private security agency eligible to perform aviation security duty in the non-core areas.
Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose International Airport is the first Airports Authority of India airport in India where such training was organised and the private security agency has been posted at Kolkata airport.
