Kolkata Traffic Police have posted a list of programmes that might affect the city traffic on Wednesday (7.6.2023)
- 12 noon: Procession along Rashbehari Avenue and Bosepukur Road
- 1pm: Procession along College Street, Nirmal Chandra Street, Rafi Ahmed Kidwai Road and SN Banerjee Road
- 3pm: Programme at Strand Road and Shahid Khudiram Bose Road
- 4pm: Procession along Sealdah flyover, Mahatma Gandhi Road, College Street crossing and Bidhan Sarani
Coromandel Express is back
The Up Coromandel Express will roll out from Shalimar station again on Wednesday afternoon, four days after the horrific crash involving the train and two other trains killed 275 people. “The regular service of 12841 Shalimar-MGR Chennai Central Coromandel Express will resume w.e.f. 07-06-2023. The train will leave Shalimar at 15:20hrs (3.20pm) as per schedule,” said a release.
The 18409 Shalimar-Puri Sri Jagannath Express will also run on Wednesday, leaving Shalimar at 7.05pm, said an official.

IPS officer Damayanti Sen, who was asked to probe four alleged rape cases in West Bengal last year by Calcutta High Court, was transferred from the post of special commissioner of Kolkata police on Tuesday. She will take over as additional director-general of police, training.
