A man who had allegedly siphoned off funds to the tune of Rs 60 to 70 lakh from a transport company in Kolkata where he worked, was arrested in Assam last week, police said. Balendra Kumar Singh, 47, who has been accused in the case since 2021 was arrested and has been brought to Kolkata on transit remand.
