Traffic alert for PM’s Kolkata visit

Movement of vehicles along Red Road, Kidderpore Road, Rani Rashmoni Avenue and in front of the south gate of Raj Bhavan will be restricted between 3pm and 7.30pm on Friday because of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit, police said. The restrictions on vehicles along the roads shall also be in place between 7.30am and 11.30am on Saturday for the same reason, the police said.

Trains cancelled for Saturday & Sunday

Dozens of local trains in the Sealdah section have been cancelled on Saturday and Sunday because of non-interlocking work needed for the upgrade of railway infrastructure at Dum Dum station. "Passengers are advised to check their train schedules carefully before undertaking any journey during the period," said an Eastern Railway spokesperson.
