Even Google is enjoying Wordle. Just key in ‘Wordle’ and the Google icon in the upper right corner looks like the game. In case you are new to the game and want to make life easier, here are a few tips and tricks.
Be careful of the greys: Some users end up using alphabets that are in grey (or the ones missing from the final word) again and again. Avoid it and chances are you will finish the game in less than six tries.
Choose your first word carefully: It helps to choose a word with three vowels and five different letters, like ‘adieu’. It helps. Or ‘roate’, which according to programmer and game designer Tyler Glaiel is the perfect choice.
Twice the complication: Be careful, at times a letter may appear twice, like in words like ‘chill’ and ‘ferry’.
In other Wordle-related news, Twitter has banned @wordlinator, a bot that replied to people’s Wordle posts with rude messages, including spoilers for the next day’s game. But that won’t stop more bots from popping up. It’s best that you block it and keep playing the game.
