With festive season running around corner, New Labong Cafe & Steakhouse in Salt Lake launches fresh menu

Spread across 1,000sq ft, the 32-seater cafe has a beautiful hand-painted backdrop showing a European street, giving off the perfect vibes to match the Continental food

New Labong Cafe and Steakhouse in Salt Lake has recently relaunched its menu, keeping in mind the festive season. Spread across 1,000sq ft, the 32-seater cafe has a beautiful hand-painted backdrop showing a European street, giving off the perfect vibes to match the Continental food. t2 tried out some dishes.

(l-r) We absolutely loved this combo of Harissa Chicken with Quinoa Salad. The smokey flavour of the grilled chicken leg and breast marinated in an in-house bell pepper-based sauce is balanced out with the crispiness of the salad. Chicken Galantine served with brown sauce. The chicken is minced and marinated with garlic, herbs and other in-house spices and stuffed with spinach and cheese

Koyel Chowdhury and Nripjeet Banerjee, the forces behind the cafe. “Right now we specialise in steaks which are light on the stomach. Although we use a lot of ingredients in the right proportion, we do not intend to make the food too spicy. Our aim is to serve minimally spiced European food to our patrons, considering we are health conscious now more than ever”.
