Souk at Taj Bengal gets a flavour refresh by chef Simone Shakour

Mediterranean fine dine den at Taj Bengal, has added some new faves to the menu

In town this month for a special pop-up for city diners, Chef Simone Shakour, whose masterfully crafted dishes created quite the storm at the Middle Eastern and Mediterranean fine dine den at Taj Bengal, has added some new faves to the menu. Souk essentially serves a mix of Middle Eastern fare from across countries, and this new menu lends special focus on the Eastern Mediterranean region.

“Today, everywhere people are looking for something new and different. Usually, pastry is mostly used in continental preparations, but we used some new ideas and incorporated a Mediterranean taste into the pastries. They worked really nice. These dishes are a fresh take on the cuisine,” said chef Simone Shakour.
