Pancham Er Adday launches winter menu with cake-mixing ceremony

Keeping festive season in mind, proprietor Amrita decided to augment her menu with number of special winter delicacies

Pancham Er Adday, the café with live music dedicated to R.D. Burman, has a one-of-a-kind continental menu. Keeping the festive season in mind, proprietor Amrita decided to augment her menu with a number of special winter delicacies.

Actress Koneenica Banerjee, Amrita and multi-disciplinary artist Sujoy Prasad Chatterjee along with other special guests took part in a cakemixing ceremony at the café amid much fanfare.

Following the event, Koneenica launched the café’s new winter menu. The seasonal menu has dishes like Chilli Pork, Fish Orly, Roast Pork, Paneer Shashlik, Fish Florentine, Chicken Pepperoni Pizza and by popular demand three wonderful desserts — Mango Cheesecake, Crème Brûlée and Apple Swiss Rolls.

Amrita said: “I have been receiving numerous requests from my customers who like to pair their coffee and meals with cheesecakes and crème brûlée and others who requested our winter specials, so I decided to curate a new winter menu for them.”

Koneenica said, “I thoroughly enjoy eating special continental dishes during the winter months and have a terrible craving for desserts at all odd hours of the day. It is great to know of a café that can satiate my needs. These desserts perfectly complement the menu and are a treat for everyone. I request all my fans to try out the food at Pancham and you will not leave disappointed.”

Chilli Pork: Succulent and juicy bite-sized pork chunks are cooked with salt and chilli powder, then stir-fried with ginger, garlic, soya sauce, chilli sauce, and veggies like onion, assorted capsicum and chillies. This is then seasoned with cracked peppercorns and garnished with spring onions. Rs 450
