Mitra Cafe, the iconic 115-year-old fast food brand, announced its national expansion plans on December 12 at a media conference in the presence of Tapash Roy, CEO of Mitra Cafe, and Tollywood actor Prosenjt Chatterjee, at the brand’s refurbished Dum Dum outlet. Roy announced a well-planned national expansion scheme where the brand aims to target 50 stores in five years and to expand its horizons outside West Bengal to Bangalore-Mumbai-Delhi in the coming years. After conquering the hearts of Kolkatans over generations, Mitra Cafe had recently opened its outlets in Puri, Digha and Siliguri. Apart from more new stores in Odisha, the brand new store in Darjeeling is all set to win over this iconic brand’s loyalists in one of the most loved travel destination of West Bengal. Outlets of Mitra Café will soon make an appearance in the fast-growing suburbs of Kolkata like Sodepur, Barasat and Barrackpore among others. This iconic eatery chain known for its much loved cutlets, kabiraji, chops and stews, also boasts of diverse cuisine in terms of Indian, Bengali, tandoor and Chinese and also undertakes catering services for occasions.
