Techno India Group hosted a regional fashion pageant audition, KIIT Nanhi Pari,2022, involving school children. Two winners were selected to represent the national level of ‘Little Miss India’ to be held in Bhubaneshwar. Students aged between 15 and 17 took part. The event was held on December 14, 2022.
Manoshi Roychowdhury, co-chairperson of Techno India Group, said, “If I was asked to host a pageant audition even two years ago, I would have said no. But my perspectives have changed and now I understand that such competitions are more than just a comparison of beauty. Beauty is just not how beautiful one looks, it is also about compassion and confidence. Techno India Group has always been open to challenges to weave the magical values of education and co-curricular activities. We always encourage our students to follow their passion.”
The audition was judged by Sanchita Bhattacharya, an Odissi exponent; Pradeep Rosario, celebrity chef; Richa Sharma, actor and former Mrs India pageant winner and Rupa Mukherjee, Head of Department, English, Techno India Group.
Participants were judged on their style, creativity, performance, timing, smartness, and make-up. Class X Techno India Group Public School students Parijat Chaudhury from Konnagar and Ahana Samanta from Ariadaha won the audition.
