“For the past few years the turn up was very low due to the pandemic but this year we finally got to bounce back and we have almost 300 guests invited for tonight. The party is a time for them to come together and let their hair down and enjoy the last night of the year,” said Ratnadeep Chatterjee, secretary, Calcutta International Club.

“This event, which is almost 100 years old now is a continuation of the tradition of the club. The food is a gourmet’s delight and we have excellent artistes like the Wagah Road and DJ Sachin in the house today. On behalf of the club one thing that I would like to emphasise on is that party hard but also party responsibly, that is the theme for tonight,” said Suvendu Dey, member-in-charge, cultural and entertainment, Calcutta International Club.

New Year’s Eve 2022 at Malt was a lit affair

The Malt lived up to its patrons’ expectations and threw a NYE party that was truly sensational. With the motto #TogetherWeDance, the plush address in New Town came alive with electrifying beats composed by a host of music composers. In terms of soundscape, the multigenre line-up ensured Malt stayed ahead of the other clubs or venues. DJ Nikhil Chinapa, b2b, Browncoat, AXL Stace, Stellar aka Vicky Shukla, Techdrone, Analog and Grooveboy took over the stage one by one and blew minds. The effect? It was hard to leave the dance floor and stop oneself from jumping, singing and swaying. Worth mentioning are the visuals that added to the package Malt offered. Check out the highlights.

MOOD

While those partying indoors grooved to the music in between lounging and bingeing, the ones outside had a whale of a time soaking in the electrifying vibe.

It was a party high on EDM. The focus was on melodic house and techno, tech house and some popular commercial songs tuned in together to make a combination exemplary for the guest to shake a leg to. The dance floor was where the best moments happened; everyone was in sync with the beats while the excellent artistes performed non-stop. The Garden of Eden at Malt on the New Year’s Eve night, under the open sky and the brisk weather was a vision to behold.
