Even during the adversities of the pandemic, I will always remember Gagandeep sir (owner, Xrong Place) sharing words of encouragement and opportunities whenever possible. In times where entertainment often equals loud music, I am glad that soft melodies and compositions could make their way to the audience, who have always been my strength. The entire staff team’s relentless support and care made this threeand-a-half-year journey a smooth one. Audience! What can a performer be without their audience? His 100th performance at this south Calcutta pub was a gala celebration with his listeners and party revellers, who attended to spend another soulful night together listening to his music.

“His simplicity and down-to-earth attitude and character click with our visitors. He mixes with the crowd genuinely. It was an exciting moment as he finished his 100th performance at Xrong Place. He has much more to give us and in other places in Calcutta,” said Indranil Banerjee, general manager, Xrong Place.
