Kolkata’s Rudraksha Banerjee prevails in the Patna Masters 2023

The two-day event saw 39 golfers battle it out

On May 14, the Patna Masters and the Patna Junior Masters, the fourth leg of the Indian Golf Union (IGU) East Zone Junior and Amateur Feeder Tour 2023, came to an end at the Patna Golf Club. Thirty nine golfers competed over the course of the two-day amateur and junior tournament.

Rudraksha Banerjee of Kolkata won the Amateur category with a score of 145 over two rounds, while local favourite Roshan Sharan finished second with a score of 147. Local star Sahil Kumar Singh won the Mid-Ams in a playoff after scoring 153, defeating another Patna golfer Kanhai Prasad. Ajit Prasad won the Senior category with a score of 156, followed by Rajeev Ranjan Kumar with a score of 161. S.C. Singh won the Super Senior category with a score of 165, while A.K. Jha finished second with a score of 170. Anwesha Das had a score of 181 against Neel Kamal Ranjan, who had a score of 196.

As part of the IGU East Zone Junior Feeder Tour 2023, the tournament also included a Junior category. Dishaan Ghosh of Kolkata won both the A & B Boys’ category and the B Boys’ category with a score of 160, while Lakshya Rampuria finished second in both categories with 169. Andrew Baid won the C Boys’ division with a score of 175, and Aaditya Manglam Trivedi finished second, just a shot behind. Mehak Lohan won the A & B Girls’ division with a score of 167, and Julinka Roychowdhury won the C & D Girls’ division with a score of 185.
