JW Marriott Kolkata’s ballroom was packed to the brim this NYE as singer Arjun Kanungo made it a night to remember. Arjun Kanungo Live in association with The Telegraph was nothing short of a gala with guests from across the city joining in to ring in the new year. The event saw performances by the main artist of the night, Arjun Kanungo, followed by artistes Saif Ahmed and Gravero, and a special dance performance by Zum Dance Academy.
The crowd, dressed in different shades, was thrilled to ring in the new year cheering and counting down till the clock struck 12. Kanungo continued to energise the crowd with his musical renditions as the party had just started. The crowd with their hands up in the air witnessed what could have been one of the greatest ways to end the year. The memories that were created shall echo in the new year.

MIDNIGHT MOMENT
“New Year ki subh kamnaye,” said the singer as people hugged and wished one another a great year.
Why should adults have all the fun? Kids in the kid zone were seen enjoying the night in their own way. With different activities and endless amount of fun, the children seemed to have found a good way to spend New Year’s Eve.
MUSIC
The energy of the crowd and the energy of Kanungo’s songs seemed to be in sync as he was unstoppable with with his hit songs, Zara zara, Ghungru tut gaye, and even his take on The Weeknd’s Sacrifice thrilled the crowd and kept them waiting for more.

Draped in nine yards of red, Sagarika Malakar stood out in the crowd in her stunning red sari. “I really loved the night, let’s leave tomorrow for tomorrow, I hope everyone can enjoy the night to the fullest,” said the glam girl who paired her sari with a chic leather jacket.
Ayesha flaunted her leg in a thigh-slit black dress. “This party is amazing and JW Marriott Kolkata and Arjun just rocked. He is my favourite singer from Mumbai. It’s a rocking show, we enjoyed it a lot. Arjun you rock,” said the lady whose outfit turned heads.
Sohom and Anusha made a well-dressed couple. “We are planning an afterparty at home,” said the couple who kept it cool and easy. While Sohom kept it casual in denims and loafers, Anusha went the minimal glam route with a bodyhugging maroon velvet dress.
DANCE
Sanjeevani, a student from Canada, made the most of her time on the dance floor. “I came all the way from Canada to visit my family and it was just amazing. I know I have friends back in Canada but it’s a different experience with your family. Dancing like hell, it was so much fun,” said the lady in an ice blue shimmery dress.
Shining brighter than the night, these ladies sure seemed to enjoy the night and vibed with the music and were not afraid to show off their dance moves.
Enjoying and vibing were friends Rahul, Radhika, Nikita, Jatin, Vishal with big smiles on their faces. The group of friends are excited for what’s in store for them this new year.
