The Bengal Chamber of Commerce and Industry’s annual event Ratnagarbha is a unique initiative by the body where it pays a tribute to mothers of celebrated children. And this year a total of seven achievers and their mothers from the field of education, business, films, health and more were felicitated on March 10.

(Left) Actor Tnusree Chakraborty’s mother Manju Chakraborty was handed over the award by Subrata Dutta, chairperson, sports committee, The Bengal Chamber, and Arnab Basu, senior vice president, The Bengal Chamber in the category of Films.

(Right) In the category of Education, the award was handed over to Satyam Roychowdhury by Tanmoy Banerjee, co-chairperson of the sports committee and skills committee and chairperson of the entrepreneurs committee, The Bengal Chamber.

Chitra Chowdhury, mother of restauranteur Debaditya Chowdhury, was given the award in the Business category by Gautam Ray, president designate, The Bengal Chamber, and Arnab Basu, senior vice president, The Bengal Chamber.

Dr Hrishikesh Kumar’s mother Shanti Devi was given the award in the category of Health by Deb A Mukherjee, past president, The Bengal Chamber, and Mridula Mazumdar, managing partner, Babu Culture.

In the Visual Arts category, the award was handed over to artist Bhabatosh Sutar and his mother Kanan Bala Sutar by Avijit Das, member sports committee, The Bengal Chamber, and Ishandeb Chatterjee, director sales and marketing, Hyatt Regency Kolkata

Cricketer Abhimanyu Easwaran’s mother Bela Easwaran was given the award in the category of Sports.
