A:You can do some industry certified course from any of the IT education companies and on successful completion of the course you will definitely stand a reasonable chance of landing an IT job.
Q:I am a BA (LLB) and am doing an internship in a law firm. I am interested in the insurance sector. Will doing a postgraduate diploma in insurance help?

Q:I am a 27-year-old BCom graduate and have a PGDCA certification. I have been working for the last four years as an accountant. I am also studying for an MCA from IGNOU. If I underwent a SAP training, would I get a good job? Also, in which domain should I specialise?

A:Since you are already part of the accounting and finance industry, try for the SAP FI/CO module training. That will augment your existing skills.
Q:I have been working as a sales engineer for the last one year. I am interested in doing an executive MBA. Will that boost my job prospects? Can you suggest some good colleges that offer such courses? Will a correspondence course be better or should I enroll in a regular course?

A:If you can do a regular course then do it. Failing which, several universities offer a distance learning module for MBA. You can explore the one most suited to you.
Q:I am a BE from NIT, Durgapur, and have also done a PGDBM from Indian Institute of Social Welfare and Business Management, Calcutta. I have 12 years? experience in the manufacturing industry. Will it be worthwhile for me to learn the SAP-PP module and switch careers? Or should I take up advanced training in manufacturing itself? Which would be a better option?

A:The switch is completely dependent on your aptitude and temperament. Today, opportunities exist in both traditional manufacturing and in IT-supported manufacturing process. Your educational qualifications are top class and should not pose a problem in either of the choices you make.
