Jamshedpur, Nov. 18: A six-member team, comprising senior representatives of the Regional Institute of Technology’s (RIT) alumni association and industrialists of Adityapur, was constituted for overseeing arrangements for the trade and technology show to be organised in the second week of January at RIT premises.
Sponsored by the Union small scale industries ministry, the trade and technology fair is being held simultaneously along with a global summit on power and infrastructure. RIT’s alumni association has taken the initiative to organise the shows to help the state government in giving a fillip to the industries of the state.
Former RIT student and general manager of Tata Engineering (Telco) R.T. Singh, chairman of the trade and technology show, held a meeting with senior functionaries of Singhbhum Industries Association (SIA), Adityapur small industries Association (ASIA), institute of foundrymen and associated chamber of commerce (Assocham) at the Telco Club last night.
The marathon meeting discussed the plans for preparing for the trade show in which the railways, ordnance factory, NTPC, Tata Steel, Telco, ONGC, BCCL, ECL and CCL are expected to participate.
The team that would arrange the trade show includes U.K. Srivastava and B.N. Dixit (both alumni members), Bikas Mukherjee, president of SIA, V.P. Singh and Gurudas Ray, the president and general secretary of ASIA and A.K. Srivastava of Assocham.
