Students of Ursuline Convent, Ranchi, take part in a drill during the inaugural ceremony of the 21st anniversary celebration of the Jharkhand Assembly in Ranchi on Monday.

Later, the dignitaries paid respect to the security personnel of Jharkhand, martyred on the border and in encounters with Maoists.

Internationally acclaimed archers Komalika Bari and Ankita Bhagat and cricketer Indrani Rai were also felicitated on the occasion.

Bishrampur MLA and BJP leader Ramchandra Chandravanshi was adjudged and felicitated as the best MLA. Outstanding teachers who had bagged national awards were also felicitated on the occasion.

A quarterly magazine of the Assembly, Udaan, was also released along with an executive summary of the state’s first student’s parliament.
