Visitors to Gopal Maidan in Jamshedpur, that his hosting the second groundbreaking ceremony of projects whose MoUs were signed during the Global Investors' Summit in February, will have to pass through two rounds of security checks.
The first check would be at the drop gates (as many as 15) set up on various lanes and roads to the venue, while the second would be at the three entrance gates of Gopal Maidan.
"Visitors will have to park their vehicles at the three designated parking slots, namely, at G. Town Ground (Bistupur), Armoury Ground and The United Club (both at Northern Town) and walk to the venue. They will have to produce their invitation cards and will be frisked at the drop gates. Thereafter, on reaching the venue, they will have to pass through metal detectors and allowed entry after their invites are checked," said city SP Prashant Anand.
Traffic will not be allowed to ply on roads approaching Gopal Maidan (Inner Circle Road, Kharkai Link Road, Gujarati Sanatan Samaj Road, Bistupur-Sakchi Main Road and Sakchi Boulevard) between 8am and 4pm.
Drop gates would be set up on the Sonari Airport Road till Circuit House roundabout and also near Straight Mile Road near Keenan Stadium.
"We have asked all police stations to stop any kind individual or group demonstrations," Dhalbhum SDO Prabhat Kumar said.
According to industries director K. Ravikumar chief minister Raghubar Das and Union ministers, including Smriti Irani, would be arriving on two state-owned helicopters from Ranchi.
"Most state ministers will be arriving from Ranchi by road on NH-33. Corporate leaders will also come by road," he said.
Among the investors who are expected to attend Saturday's function are: Shree Cement president Sanjay Mehta, Jamna Auto CEO Randeep Jauhar, JGI Group chairman Roychand Chainraj, Bhalotia Industries chairman Ashok Bhalotia.
Several corporate leaders would also be sharing their experiences about doing business in Jharkhand. Among them are: Tata Steel MD T.V. Narendran, VP-corporate Sunil Bhaskaran and SAFAL Mother Dairy Fruits and Vegetables business head P.K. Sahoo.
The district administration has taken several measures in and around the venue to ensure smooth conduct of the function. Among them are:
• Six ambulances will be on standby in addition to a medical cell
• 30 magistrates will be deployed near drop gates and at other locations in the city
• Patrolling will be stepped up along NH-33 stretch and also on Tata-Kandra Road.
