School: Student of Class XII of DAV Kapil Dev, Kadru, Ranchi.

Gifted: That’s one word that describes her perfectly. She has won prizes (at least 12) in drawing, is a Kathak enthusiast (she has been training under a guru for five years now) and is planning to stage a show soon. Saumya has also been part of a Hindi play, Kafan.

Line between arts & science: Is non-existent, if you would believe her. Her two favourite subjects happen to be English and computers as they are both “easy to comprehend”. As far as she’s concerned there’s no discrimination, as long as the subjects are interesting.

Paintbrush: Helps her to relax, along with Shakespeare and Enid Blyton. And on a stressful day there’s always the poetry of Wordsworth to soothe her soul. If that doesn’t work, then rock music sure does...
